Areas of Expertise

Psychiatric Consultation, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, ADHD, Depression, Anxiety

A healthy mental state is essential in every stage of life – from childhood, adolescent, to adulthood. An individual can experience mental health issue at any point. Not only can this impact their mood and behavior, but can change their way of thinking, their way of looking at life, and facing challenges. As a Board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with experience in treating patients with a wide range of conditions that includes PTSD, major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, ADHD, I meet each individual where they are in their life stage and use my expertise in psychiatry to guide them to a healthy mental state. While providing prescription management of psychotropic medications, I also incorporating brief counseling sessions with each routine follow up visits to further enhance treatment outcomes. As a provider who is up to date with the latest treatment modalities, I am adept in providing psychiatric consultation to practitioners and local treatment centers. My goal is to help clients realize that a healthy mental health is within reach.

A holistic approach to mental health involves treatment of the whole person, taking into account mental and social factors, rather than just the symptoms of a disease. This includes working to improve one's mind, body, & soul.

Some techniques include:

Mind----relaxation techniques, meditation, therapy
Body----nutrition, exercise, health
Soul-----healthy support systems, finding purpose, emotional peace
